ABOUT

Dr Julia Stamm is an executive advisor, speaker and entrepreneur who works with leadership teams and institutions to navigate the AI age with intentionality and purpose over speed, keeping human judgement, values and trust at the centre of the decisions that define their organisations. Her work sits at the intersection of innovation, technology, policy, business, and society.

Dr Julia Stamm

Julia is an award-winning entrepreneur, sought-after keynote speaker and executive advisor with extensive cross-sector expertise and international leadership experience.

She draws from research, government, and business to do what most specialists cannot: synthesise across silos, across sectors, and across generations to tackle some of today's most complex challenges.

The central question that underpins her work is this: how do we build a future that we can all be excited about?

A sociologist and systems thinker with a PhD in philosophy, Julia has built her career at the intersection of academia, innovation, technology, policymaking, business, and civil society. She has held executive leadership positions in European and international organisations including the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), the European Commission and the G20, has built four organisations from the ground up and has served as a trusted advisor to leaders and organisations in both the public and private sectors.

Julia is the Founder and CEO of She Shapes AI. Under her leadership, its Global Awards drew 250 applications from six continents, recognising impact-led AI ventures solving real-world problems. Julia is a Founding Committee Member of the AI in Media Institute (AIMI), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), London, and a Fellow of the Centre for Digital Governance at the Hertie School, Berlin. Furthermore, she serves as an Advisory Board Member to the new BSc Management for Social Change of the UCL School of Management.
