Who we are

This website (juliastamm.com) is operated by Dr Julia Stamm, who is the data controller for any personal data collected through it.

What data we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. Here is what we may collect and why:

  • Contact form submissions: If you complete the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent directly to us by email so that we can respond to your enquiry. We do not store them in any separate database.
  • Newsletter sign-up: If you subscribe to Julia’s newsletter, “Beyond the Hype”, your email address is collected and processed by Substack, our newsletter provider. We use it only to send you the newsletter and related updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies

This site uses a limited number of cookies:

  • Consent preference: We store your cookie consent choice in your browser so that you are not asked repeatedly.
  • Embedded videos: This site embeds videos hosted on YouTube. When you view a page containing one, YouTube may set cookies on your device. These are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Newsletter: If you subscribe through an embedded Substack form, Substack may set cookies. See Substack’s Privacy Policy.

Data retention

We keep your data only for as long as necessary. Newsletter subscriber data is held for as long as you remain subscribed. Enquiry emails are retained for up to 12 months after our last contact, then deleted.
